Hand gesticulation recognition in image
Mráz, Stanislav ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
This master’s thesis is dealing with recognition of an easy static gestures in order to computer controlling. First part of this work is attended to the theoretical review of methods used to hand segmentation from the image. Next methods for hang gesture classification are described. The second part of this work is devoted to choice of suitable method for hand segmentation based on skin color and movement. Methods for hand gesture classification are described in next part. Last part of this work is devoted to description of proposed system.
Reconstruction of Fragmented Objects
Bačíková, Petra ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
Thesis deals with reconstruction of fragmented objects. It contains a sentenious view of already realized projects with reconstruction subject. In the folowing section, the thesis describes essential methods of image processing, work with contours and corelation. There are proposed algorithms of image processing, corners detection and edges matching.
Short-Term Forecast Based on Image of Sky
Volf, Martin ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis submitted is dedicated to weather forecast based only on a video stream. At first, basic weather information which the sky can provide are presented. Cloud types including their properties and methods which the sky can most efficiently describe are dealt with. At second, basic circumstances between weather information are discussed. The objective of this work is to prove accuracy of the methods used for gaining data from the video stream and to find out whether it could be possible to use them for forecasting the rain, air humidity and sunshine for the period of time one hour later.
Hand Gesture - Controlled VJ Mixer
Vlk, Jakub ; Žák, Pavel (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This paper describes an implementation of a VJ Mixer controlled by hand gestures. For construction of VJ mixer is first necessary to detect hands in the picture. Therefore this paper first describes the methods of detection of human skin in an image, with an emphasis on the method of Gaussian probability distribution, which is used in the actual implementation of a program. Then some methods of detecting objects in images are described , mainly for hands and gestures. Great emphasis is placed on the method of convex defects, which was used in the final program. Finally, the procedures linking the hand gesture recognition with the video processing algorithms are described.
Contour methods in the mathematical theory of phase transitions
Nagy, Oliver ; Zahradník, Miloš (advisor) ; Netočný, Karel (referee)
Title: Contour methods in the mathematical theory of phase transitions Author: Oliver Nagy Department: Department of Mathematical Analysis Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Miloš Zahradník, CSc., Department of Mathematical Analysis Abstract: This thesis concerns itself with three topics, namely polymer models, Pirogov-Sinai theory and one-dimensional Dyson models. It contains a short introduction into all three topics. The introduction to Pirogov-Sinai theory will serve as a starting point for a future expanded introductory exposition, since such a material is missing in the contemporary literature. Research result of the first chapter is a detailed combinatorial analysis of cluster expansion of hard-core repulsive polymer model based on 'self-avoiding polymer trees', leading to simplification of the structure of summation in the partition function. In the case of Dyson models we suggest an alternative definition of contours for the one-dimensional Dyson model with the exponent of polynomially-decaying interaction p ∈ (1, 2) that is usable for study using Pirogov-Sinai methods. Keywords: Contours, polymers, cluster expansion, Pirogov-Sinai theory, Dyson model;
